When calls go to voicemail, OmniCalls records the message, transcribes it, and notifies your team.

How Voicemail Works

Callers are sent to voicemail when:

  • Your AI agent is set to "after hours" mode
  • A human transfer is attempted but no one answers
  • You've configured specific scenarios to go to voicemail
  • Voicemail Greeting

    Customize your voicemail message:

  • Go to Agents → OmniCalls → Voicemail
  • Record or type your greeting
  • If typed, the AI will read it in your chosen voice
  • Transcription

    Every voicemail is automatically transcribed using AI speech-to-text. You'll see:

  • The full text transcription
  • Caller's phone number
  • Date and time
  • Duration of the message
  • AI-detected intent (e.g., "booking request", "pricing inquiry")
  • Notifications

    Get notified about new voicemails via:

  • Dashboard notification
  • Email with full transcription
  • (Coming soon) SMS notification
  • Auto-Response

    Enable auto-responses to voicemail callers:

  • Send an SMS: "Thanks for calling! We'll get back to you within [X hours]."
  • Send an email if the caller is a known contact
  • Create a follow-up task in your dashboard

    The voicemail inbox lets you:

  • Mark messages as read/unread
  • Assign to a team member
  • Add notes
  • Call back directly from the dashboard
